The vision for Krucifyd Ministries emerged about 8 years ago.
God sparked a desire to bring new opportunities for the younger
generations in the area to experience worship in the forms of
music genres with which they could relate. In a region
dominated by southern gospel and gospel bluegrass music, it
has always required a drive to Charlotte, Greenville, Knoxville, or
Atlanta for events featuring artists in other genres of Christian
music. Very rarely do we have an occasion to worship with a
contemporary artist locally.
My first reaction to this calling was "God, I can't do that! I don't
know anything about planning something that big." So for the
last few years, He has "prepared" me for His work. Though many
times I did not realize it, and for a long time the thought of
concert promotion completely disappeared, God has led me to
many contacts and avenues of knowledge so that I could begin
this task. Right now I still don't feel "ready," but I believe He is
telling me that it is time to begin. I still don't know all that I
need to know about this business, but through prayer and
diligence, He is leading me to the right people.
I know that God does not need me to accomplish His will, but I
am honored that He is using me in His plan. I also know that
this ministry cannot be productive without support from local
churches, leaders and Christian organizations. If you have
resources, knowledge, or skills that you believe may be
beneficial to this cause, I pray that you will seek God's will to
join me in this great adventure.
